My name is Kirsten W. Anderson.
I currently work at Enoch Elementary in Enoch Utah as a Visual Arts Integration Specialist. I have the great opportunity to teach K-5 aged students great art skills while reinforcing the information they are learning from the common core standards. My art lessons will integrate with Language Arts, Math, Science, and Engineering skills. I love teaching young minds to think creatively and be better problem solvers while delving into the world of art expression.
Art has always been a big part of my life, with an art teacher for a mother. I recieved my Bachelor of Science Degree in Visual Art and K-12 Certification from Southern Utah University in the year 2000. While raising my 5 children, I taught private art lessons for small groups ranging in age from 5-18, and have taught in various Art Camps, and in the public school system on a volunteer basis for about 8 years. I started working in the Public School system 4 years ago with help from the Beverly Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program.
